The MISSION of The DEN... is for all students, regardless of academic level or background, to get the most out of their school experience. This includes therapeutic, vocational and recreational opportunities for youth to build on their own strengths and reach for success.
The DEN is designed to enhance existing BHS services. Our programming is tailored to meet each student's and family's goals. Services are voluntary, free, confidential and offered year-round, on site at Bloomfield High, both during and after school hours.
The DEN is managed by FAMILYConnections, a private non-profit agency weaving together mental health services, skill-building, crisis intervention, and resource referrals to provide comprehensive solutions to life's challenges. For more than 130 years, we have served individuals and families of Essex and surrounding counties, always striving to insure that our services are:
-Culturally Competent
-Strengths-Based
-Family-Centered
-Holistic
-Collaborative
-Quality Controlled
-Evidence-Based, and
-Barrier-Free
